Qu Kaifeng, general manager of Beijing Yundao Internet Based Engineering, shared the significance of combining the spirits of entrepreneurship and craftsmanship from his personal business experience.

Qu said that at present there are three major problems in China’s manufacturing industry: a lack of industrial software, weak chip technology and poor material foundation. In order to solve these problems and achieve the goal of "Made in China 2025", it should be a priority to integrate entrepreneurship with craftsmanship.

Liu Gaosheng, a postdoctoral scholar of the Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies of Peking University, said that the 19th CPC National Congress laid special stress on inspiring and protecting the entrepreneurial spirit and promoting the spirit of model workers and craftsmen.

China's manufacturing enterprises should respond to the State’s appeal and contribute to "Made in China 2025" and "Industry 4.0", Liu added.
