To integrate quality resources in strengthening the animation industry in Hangzhou, another promising partnership was reached this Thursday.

Beijing-based culture brand Lang Yuan Vintage is joining hands with Baima Lake Animation Square, nestled in Hangzhou, to implement a full-scale development plan for the future. Hangzhou municipal government officials and ACG enterprises attended the launch ceremony.

The Square, a permanent venue of China's International Animation Festival, is one of the national-level animation industry parks in China. "This partnership marks a new phase of development for our project," said Shen Jian, publicity minister and member of the standing committee of Hangzhou's Binjiang District Committee of the CPC.

"We will fully explore the possibility of the industrial upgrading of Baima Lake Animation Square," said Su Zhaohui, vice-president and a member of the standing CPC committee of Beijing Capital Group. "And promote a cross-provincial cultural exchange between Beijing and Hangzhou."

Focusing on space renovation, activity planning and talent incubator, the new animation square will build in more ACG-themed playgrounds, bookstores and restaurants.

Cultural events, besides the anticipated International Animation Festival, will attract fans throughout the year, such as at animation expos, meet-and-greets with idols and internet literature salons.

Incubators for young talents and startups have been set up to offer support for the next generation of ACG entrepreneurs.

It is estimated that the overall renovation project will be completed and ready for the visitors at the end of this year.
