"The saying that China is coming to colonize Africa is absolutely not true," said Adetoro Banwo, deputy director of the Confucius Institute at the University of Lagos at the 6th Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation & China-Africa Think Tank High-Level Dialogue on August 21. He also stated that these were the first common core values that built the relationship between China and Africa, such as trade, economic interest, diplomacy and trust.
