A Shanxi delegation of over 60 representatives from the province’s tourism association, scenic spots and travel agencies arrived in Taiwan for a promotion conference on Nov 4.

Eight tourism routes were recommended at the conference, with themes such as World cultural heritage, ancient religious architecture, folk customs and the Yellow River,.

The Shanxi Tourism Association has reached a strategic cooperation agreement with the tourism association in Taiwan. Travel agents from both sides agreed to exchange tourists and cooperate.

The conference was the Shanxi delegation’s first promotion in Taiwan. Next, the delegation will participate the cross-Straits travel fair in Taipei. Another promotion conference will open in the city of Kaohsiung.

The province will advertise tourism on 100 Taipei buses , as well as outdoor promotions in Taipei’s bustling streets.
