US soldiers strained by six years at Iraq war are deserting their posts at the highest rate since 1980, with the number of Army deserters this year showing an 80 percent increase since the United States invaded Iraq in 2003.
日前，美國(guó)陸軍部發(fā)表報(bào)告說(shuō)，去年一共有4698名美國(guó)陸軍士兵“開(kāi)小差”，逃兵人數(shù)比例為1980年以來(lái)最高。
當(dāng)逃兵可以說(shuō)“desert one's post”,逃兵或開(kāi)小差的士兵可以說(shuō)“deserter”，逃兵比例為“desertation rate”，另外，AWOL 表示absent without leave即擅離職守的。
