 中小型企業(yè) SMEs

一年一度的兩會(huì)逐次拉開序幕。政府經(jīng)濟(jì)刺激方案資金的使用成為代表委員們共同關(guān)注的熱點(diǎn)。由于國內(nèi)外經(jīng)濟(jì)形勢復(fù)雜，中小企業(yè)的生存狀態(tài)和發(fā)展前景也成為本次兩會(huì)的焦點(diǎn)之一。

Hu Keyi, a senior executive at Shanghai-based Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co Ltd, one of the nation's largest shipbuilders, said that even though the impact of the crisis is "far worse than anyone could have anticipated", and new orders all but dried up, industry had the cushion of the stimulus to fall back on.
我國最大的造船廠之一、上海江南造船集團(tuán)有限公司高層胡可一表示，雖然經(jīng)濟(jì)危機(jī)的影響“比預(yù)期的要嚴(yán)重很多”，而且新訂單也無音信，但他們還可以指望刺激方案的援助。
Other members were more concerned about the disadvantaged groups of society, such as farmers and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
其他委員則更加關(guān)注農(nóng)民和中小型企業(yè)等社會(huì)弱勢群體。
我們平時(shí)說到“中小型企業(yè)”的時(shí)候都會(huì)用SMEs也表示，這個(gè)說法的全稱為small- and medium-sized enterprises，最后一個(gè)s小寫是因?yàn)樗谶@里表示enterprise（企業(yè)）的復(fù)數(shù)形式。與之很相似的一個(gè)表達(dá)可能大家也見過，就是SOEs，即state-owned enterprises（國有企業(yè)）。由此舉一反三就可以知道privately-owned enterprises為“私營企業(yè)”，collectively-owned enterprises是“集體企業(yè)”，而foreign-funded enterprises則是“外資企業(yè)”。
